The 2K Picture Restoration is Complete.

After 2 years of work, "Solstice" looks better than it did when it was originally released in 1994.

The digital cleanup, color grading and frame stabilization on the 2K restoration of "Solstice" is finally complete. These before/after images above showcase several samples of damaged frames from the original negative, and how the final product looks. Those vertical lines were the most time consuming damage to digitally paint out, frame by frame, along with a meticulous frame by frame dust and speck removal. The final grading by colorist Pete Janotta is just gorgeous. The film will now go into final audio post-production, including a new orchestral score to replace the original synth soundtrack to improve the emotional underscoring of the story.
